Jake’s Hardline Acropora hoeksemai “Hardline Hoeki” Frag to Order

Collected by Jake Adams in 2019 from the outer hardline of the Swain Reefs.

The Swain Reefs lie at the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef and are a long, long way offshore. A trip with friends, Nic Dos Santos, Vincent Chalias (Ocean Gardener), and Russell Kelley (Coral Finder) to the nearest part of the outer barrier (known as the hardline) The weather gods smiled, and a rare week of glass-out conditions opened habitats where weather access is rarely granted. This colony came home from that trip—one of the many remarkable pieces Jake brought back from his explorations.

Jake Adams was a driving force in the reef aquarium community: passionate collector, sharp observer, and tireless advocate for understanding corals both in the wild and in captivity. This Acropora hoeksemai stands as a lasting piece of his legacy. It shows classic staghorn features. Under blue-dominant lighting it displays intense, saturated blues with a textured, almost metallic sheen.

This lineage is fully aquacultured here at ACI AQUACULTURE. A genuine piece of reef-collecting history and a quiet tribute to Jake Adams—now available as sustainable, farm-propagated stock.
