100% Farmed at ACI Aquaculture

Vincent Chalias originally collected the ACI Dirty Insanity in 2018 on a dive in North Bali, Indonesia. After the Indonesian coral ban lifted, he sent us our first piece from his mariculture farm. We have been fighting since 2020 to get it to grow, and by 2023, it was growing quickly and ready for the market. Because of the issues we had with it in those three years, it is now a hearty coral with colors that vary from branch to branch. It looks dirty when the polyps are extended, as if covered in a layer of oil-slick-reminiscent grime. Despite this unique coloration, the pale variety of color shines through if you take a moment to appreciate it. After they close, the dirty brown polyps show insane blue highlights. Take it home to see for yourself!
